Finland student visa requirements
To apply for a Finland residence permit for studies, you must meet the following requirements.
Admission to a Finnish Institution
You must have an official letter of acceptance from a university or university of applied sciences in Finland, and your studies must lead to a degree or vocational qualification
Proof of Funds
You must show at least 800 euros per month, or around 9,600 euros in your account for a full year of study, to cover living costs during your first year.
Proof of Tuition Payment
If your program charges tuition, you must show that your first year fees are paid or that you hold a confirmed scholarship covering them.
Health Insurance
You must hold private health insurance covering medical and pharmaceutical costs for your entire stay, unless you already qualify for an exemption such as an EHIC or GHIC card.
Valid Passport
Your passport should ideally remain valid for your entire period of study, since your permit cannot be granted beyond your passport's expiry date.
English Language Proof
Most programs require proof of English proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or an equivalent accepted by your university.
